Two groups are working together to host a virtual panel on the current food industry. The Walnut Club, a network organization for women, cooperates with Philadelphia Women in Food, a group of local women restaurateurs and entrepreneurs.
The online event is free and will take place on Wednesday, March 24th at 6:30 p.m.

The discussion is moderated by Ellen Yin from High Street Hospitality Groups.
Panelists include Tess Hart from Triple Bottom Brewing, Jezabel Careaga or Jezabel’s Argentine Cafe & BYO, Justine MacNeil from Fiore Fine Foods and Nok Suntaranon from Kalaya and Kalaya Thai Market.
In addition, Lateefah Curtis from Paxon & Penn shows how to make an “Island Flowers Jawn” cocktail.
To accompany the conversation, there is Food and beverage packages available for purchase for pickup in Philadelphia. All orders must be placed by 12:00 noon on Friday, March 19.
The three package options are listed below:
• Mixer Kit ($ 30) – Contains mixer, recipe instructions for building the cocktail for the evening and two side dishes. Alcohol must be purchased separately. Recommended spirits are blanco tequila, gin or vodka. Use light rum for a sweeter taste.
• Dinner Box ($ 45) – Contains a mixture of eMpanadas with Chimichurri from Jezabel’s; Chu Chee Barramundi and Crab Meat, Eggplant and Fish Sauce next to Kalaya’s coconut rice; and TOrta tenerina (flourless chocolate cake) with caramelized citrus fruits and whipped mascarpone crema from Fiore’s.
• Joy Box ($ 60) – Includes samples of Caphe Roasters, Third Wheel Cheese, Triple Bottom Brewing, and a Cry Baby Cocktail. The choices are subject to change.
The event advertising Women Support Women Appropriately takes place during Women’s History Month. A similar event by Philadelphia Women in Food also took place on International Women’s Day.
